Overview
Impala Camp Selous is set in a great location amidst Borassus aethiopum palms and Tamarind trees overlooking the Rufiji River. This camp was set up by old East Africa hand Gillie Zanacchi as a retreat where he could take his friends
to enjoy the animals and the bush at the Selous Game Reserve. It soon became obvious that he would have to share!
The camp is situated amongst Borassus palms and Tamarind trees and provides superb comfort,
wonderful wildife and dining under the stars beside the rippling Rufiji River.
Accommodation
• Just 6 luxury tents raised on platforms with private balcony overlooking the Rufiji River. All tents are fully en suite and furnished in period style.
Facilities
• There is a large and comfortable thatched low-slung central dining building and bar with wide open verandahs overlooking the river.
Nearby there is a sheltered, good sized swimming pool.
Activities
• Early morning and afternoon game drives, boat safari on the Rufiji River and walking safaris, as well as fishingOpen four-wheeled drive vehicles, specially adapted for close-up game viewing, make for exhilarating early morning and evening forays into the surrounding bush.
• One can visit Stieglers Gorge
(100 metres deep and 100 metres wide), or the Beho Beho hot springs.
• Other activities include bird watching; photography; walking safaris; and fishing Tiger Fish and Vandu
(in the rivers of the Kilombero Game Controlled Area to the west of the reserve).

• There is a a well stocked bar and a dining room that is sure to cater for you every taste.
