Overview
Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the , just 50 kilometers (31 miles) East of - Africa's largest lake. Flanked by two hillsides, this flamboyant camp overlooks a by-water of the Grumeti River and offers a comfortable haven to experience the truly wild pulse of Africa.
Every year during Africa's annual Great Migration, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of the largest crocodiles on earth. Grumeti's spacious tents are shaded under makuti (palm frond) canopies and reveal the vibrancy of colorful interiors - including hand-blown Kenyan glassware, African cloth and local sculptured furnishings - bring alive the excitement of Africa.

Grumeti River Camp has 10 twin-bedded tents that lie along the banks of the river and hippo pools.
Each tented suite features a large bed made of cypress and comfortable deck furniture both in and outdoors.

WC's and alfresco showers open to the sun and stars), and the vibrancy of kente cloth and local sculptured furnishings bring the excitement and romance of Africa to life.

• Grumeti River Camp has an open-air covered dining area, a lounge area and domed bar all overlooking the river, while a secluded sheltered boma ensures star-studded romantic dinners.
• Spacious decks and the swimming pool are perfect for sundowners overlooking the river. A curio shop and gallery are located near to the reception area.
Activities
• The camp specialises in the annual wildebeest migration but also organised day wildlife watching and game driving safaris in Serengeti.
• Crocodile viewing safaris along the winding reaches of the Grumeti River, and cultural visits to neaby Masaai villages are also arranged.
Dining
• Delicious Pan-African cuisine prepared on traditional "jikos" (fires) or in stone ovens is served in the boma or open-fronted dining area. Private dinners can be arranged for any special occasion.
