Ndutu Safari Lodge
Ndutu Safari Lodge - Ngorongoro
Ndutu Safari Lodge - Ngorongoro

Overview
Ndutu Safari Lodge
is located in the heart of the great Serengeti plain. The lodge nestles unobtrusively under a canopy of giant acacia trees overlooking Lake Ndutu. Ndutu Safari Lodge offers a superb base in which to explore the range of habitats that lie within easy reach, this include swamps, woodlands, soda lakes and the world famous Serengeti short grass plains. Ndutu Safari Lodge has been a favourite with professional wildlife photographers and film-makers for the past four decades, because it’s simply one of the places to watch wildlife. The lodge is not located at or nearby the Ngorongoro Crater, but falls within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Accommodation
• There are stone cottages that consist of 34 rooms, all built in a line facing Lake Ndutu. The rooms are quaint but they are very comfortable and well maintained.

• Each room has en suite facilities and a front verandah where you can sit and enjoy the view. The decor is simple with extremely comfortable pine beds and tables.

Facilities
• As Ndutu is a small and personal lodge, there is not much offered in terms of facilities except for nature walks around the area and afternoon tea being served on the front verandah.

Activities
• The lodge arranges day wildlife watching and game driving Tanzania safaris o the Ngorongoro Crater floor.

• Nature walks and cultural tours to the nearby Maasai villages, all of which belong to the national cultural tourism program and allow unique visits to Maasai homesteads.

Dining
• The lodge offers good quality home cooking with many of the vegetables coming from local farmers in the area.

Ndutu Safari Lodge – Amani Tours View
The lodge overlooks Lake Ndutu, which is a favorite water spot for numerous herds of game and is a center point during the migration of wildebeest to the central Serengeti. We thoroughly enjoy this lodge especially due to it's intimacy and great location. The managers are a very hospitable couple who will tell you interesting stories of how hyenas have run through the camp at night or guests' experiences with lions. This place gives you the feel of being out in the bush. We very highly recommend Ndutu Lodge between November and June when the migration in this area is at its most concentrated.
